This trailer was made to introduce Daniel Johnston's latest masterpiece, Space Ducks: An Infinite Comic Book of Musical Greatness. It's narrated by Daniel and the lead animator on the project, David Potter—who's responsible for the lo-fi, paper-cutout animation style. I'll never forget when we nervously shared this with Daniel, anxious for his approval, before he was about to perform. He responded with, "Wow. That was cool, man. Thank you." and we peed ourselves a little. I left W+K shortly after making this piece, so I didn't get to spend much time working on the interactive edition of Space Ducks for iPad. The team did an amazing job and got artists like James Mercer from The Shins, Chris Funk from The Decemberists, and members of Yo La Tengo to lend their voices to the project. I'm very happy to have been part of it.
